I love to find new fun things to do with kids, so I took The Little Critics (my two boys and their cousins) to some of the best parks on the Sunshine Coast Australia. Hear their thoughts on each park and have a look at the photos for a sneak peak of what to expect.

Kings Beach Park Kings Beach, Caloundra, Sunshine Coast Rating: The Little Critics 8/10 Mine 8/10 What to Expect: - An interactive water fountain for hours of fun
- 25 metre sea water pool including lap pool, patrolled by Life Guards
- Disabled access
- Right on the beach
- Exercise equipment along the foreshore if you feel like a quick workout!
- Adventure playground across the road
Things You Need to Know: - Parking is limited in busy times
- Picnic tables
- Public toilets and cold showers in the Pavilion near the Swimming Pool
- On the way to this park, along the Esplanade there is a great park we call the Pirate Park. It has a Pirate Ship and rocks on the beach to explore.


Cotton Tree Park The Esplanade, Cotton Tree, Sunshine CoastRating: The Little Critics 7/10 Mine 9/10 What to Expect: - Adjacent to Maroochydore River
- Surf free beach perfect for kids. Swim, kayak, fish or just sit and admire the pelicans
- Playground for children better suited to 5 years and under – includes climbing net, slides
- Large grassy area good for football or cricket
- Public swimming pool
Things You Need to Know: - Free electric BBQs
- Lots of shady trees and picnic tables
- Plenty of parking
- Unisex toilets

Quota Memorial Park Matthew Street, Nambour, Sunshine CoastRating: The Little Critics 10/10 Mine 8/10 What to Expect: - Favourite Park as voted by The Little Critics
- Adventure playground caters for children of all ages
- Flying Fox
- RSL War Memorial Wall
Things You Need to Know: - Right behind Woolworths, if you are passing through Nambour it is a great spot for Dad’s to take the kids for more things to do while Mum is shopping for holiday supplies
- Plenty of parking
- Toilet facilities

Maroochy Bushland Botanic Garden Palm Creek Road Tanawha, Sunshine CoastTake the Sippy Downs/Buderim Exit off the Bruce Highway. Take the Tanawha Forest Glen Tourist Drive turnoff and follow the signs. Rating: The Little Critics 7/10 Mine 9/10 What to Expect: - Unique
- Serene sculpture garden displaying some special pieces of art
- Lots of open space
- Easy walking tracks, wear comfortable shoes
- Discover more things to do with kids as they visit the kids hidden treasure garden on the Whipbird Walk
- Free guided tours first and third Wednesday of the month at 9am
Things You Need to Know: - Open 7 am - 5 pm (April to October) and 7 am – 6 pm (November to March)
- No bins, you must take your rubbish with you
- No BBQs
- Plenty of parking
- Wheelchair access
- Picnic tables
- Lots of shady spots
- Toilets a short walk from the car park

Pioneer Park Corner Caloundra Street and Glasshouse Mountains Road Landsborough, Sunshine CoastRating: The Little Critics 9/10 Mine 9/10 What to Expect: - All Abilities playground

- Climbing net
- Sensory garden with herbs and flowers to smell
Things You Need to Know: - Free electric BBQs
- Lots of shady trees and picnic tables
- Plenty of parking
- Unisex toilets with disabled access
- Lots of shade
- Grassy areas for picnicking
- Fully enclosed with safety fences
- Would be a great place to go on route to Australia Zoo if you are looking for more things to do with kids that day

Federation Park Primrose Court, PalmwoodsWhat to Expect: - 900m concrete walking or bike track
- Playground for children better suited to 5 years and under includes climbing net
- Playground located in the middle of track so great if you want to exercise while the kids play on the playground
- Large grassy area good for football or cricket
- Lovely and peaceful, very scenic
- Native trees
Things You Need to Know: - Free electric BBQs
- Lots of shady trees and picnic tables
- Limited parking
- Unisex and disabled toilets
- Annual Australia Day celebrations are held here each year
