At Australia Zoo, you will no longer see
Steve Irwin
wandering around in his khakis, but if you are lucky on special occassions you may catch a glimpse of the rest of the Irwin clan - Terri Irwin, Bindi Irwin and Robert. This is a zoo experience like you have never seen before – the realisation of a dream. A dream that sadly Steve never saw fully develop.



Australia Zoo is located on Steve Irwin Way, Beerwah. What to Expect: - Not just a day out – it is an experience
- Daily Wildlife shows including crocodile feeding
- Meet loads of animals and even feed some – elephants, snakes, tortoises, otters and koalas to name a few
- Designed for comfort with kids, I mean they even have toddler seats in the toilets!
- Loads of shade
- If you want to take your own picnic there are plenty of places in the shade to have it
- Plenty of parking
What You Need To Know: How to get there Self Drive - Approximately 1 hour from Brisbane or 2 hours from the Gold Coast
- Well sign posted off Highway 1
- If you get there with time to spare, consider a stop at
Pioneer Park, Landsborough
. Not far up the road from Australia Zoo.
Public Transport - Catch the train to Beerwah Station then an Australia Zoo Courtesy Coach meets most trains. Simply call Australia Zoo if a Coach does not arrive on 5436 2000. Check out
