I Do. This Is My Story,

In my last job I was an HR Manager and previously I have worn many hats, Operations Manager; Sales Manager; Sales Executive; Travel Consultant and Airline Reservations Agent. I have always worked in the Travel Industry, I love it because it is busy, exciting and dynamic.

Redundancy, believe it or not, was probably the best thing that ever happened to me. It made me realise that what I thought was so important and worked so hard on was worth very little, you are not indispensable and family and friends are the most important thing that you will experience in your life!

When I was working I always said my family comes first but in reality that wasn’t always true. I still managed to do most of the mummy things e.g making birthday cakes, organising birthday parties, all the Christmas trimmings, helping with homework, but I was always exhausted. I missed sport carnivals, school events and I didn’t even know the boy’s teachers full names, and they didn’t know mine, my house was a mess and we spent a lot of money on takeaway. School Holidays were almost a military exercise organising who would look after the kids, when and where.

I was distant, my life was out of control.

I always dreamed of finding part time work from home.

Around the time that I was made redundant, my husband came across an interesting website, Sitesell and he said to me "hey why don’t you try this?". He encouraged me to put the same effort and hard work into getting my own business off the ground that I had done for so many years for other people.

So here I am. I have started on the journey of creating my website discover-sunshine-coast-australia.
